Arrive at Sheikh ul-Alam International Airport, Srinagar.Your chauffeur meets you at Srinagar airport. You drive to your heritage houseboat on Dal Lake. A butler settles you in with Kahwa, the local saffron tea. In the afternoon, visit the Mughal Gardens: Nishat Bagh, Shalimar Bagh, and Chashme Shahi. As the sun sets, you take a private shikara across the lake. For most guests, this first evening is the one they remember.
After breakfast, your car climbs to Gulmarg through a pine forest. The drive is about 50 km, or 1.5 hours.
